Debris

Note the piles of yard waste and solid debris. This is the result of nearly one-hundred fifty years of construction and mining. It's mine-tailings, broken concrete and rebar, pieces of dimensional lumber, broken bottles and other stuff that needs to be hauled off before the site is graded.

Karen Derry's vision for this tiny marsh is to integrate the natural seep into a small wetland preserve—not drain and build over it.

Power Drop

As you can see there is a power pole on the site. It is active, and it won't take much effort to drop power from there.

The two greenhouses are situated on either side of the pole.

Site Plan

This is a rough Site Plan for the Happy Camp Community Garden. If we get funding we can start removing debris and grading immediately.

The use of the site has been generously donated by the Church of Latter-Day Saints.
